Alvin started his salsa dancing journey in 2006, in pursuit of connecting with people on a different level. Since then, he has performed at various festivals, charity events, and salsa conferences across Canada. He also teaches regularly across Guelph, Hamilton, and Kitchener-Waterloo.
Alvin’s true passion is teaching salsa, bachata, and merengue to those looking to improve their social dancing skills in terms of movements and techniques, deeper connections, and fostering a feeling of community. When Alvin is not dancing, he works in municipal government as an engineer, leads a young professionals group in the water industry, and is working towards becoming a communications coach.
