Pam

I grew up in Santiago Chile where I trained at a Flamenco Academy under the direction of Rosa Lagos. I had the opportunity to perform in a few kid’s shows and one yearly event held at the academy. When I was 10 years old my family moved to Toronto Canada. To remain close to our culture, my parents enrolled me and my sister in two different cultural dance teams. With them we performed at various community held events.

In my early adulthood I became interested in Salsa. I learned the very basics while social dancing at Babaluu’s as well as the Dovercourt House in Toronto. In 2007 I moved to Davis California where I auditioned for Afinkao Dance Co. With them I trained and learned proper timing and styling techniques. I also performed at the Semi Pro and Pro level. We showcased one dance piece per year at the International San Francisco Congress as well as the San Francisco Salsa Festival.

I have always loved to dance. It will always be a part of me and a part of my life. I am excited and grateful to embark in this journey in you and as part of your dance community.
