Why Choose Flying Dance for Private Dance Lessons?

Your Perfect First Dance Timeline

Questions & Answers

There are so many things to consider when planning your wedding and a wedding dance is just another part of it. Hopefully, here are some answers that you might help in your planning………

How do we get started?

Book a 20-minute private lesson/chat. We’ll learn your goals, try a few steps, and leave you with a tiny practice plan.

  • Choose a studio near you: Guelph, Milton, Georgetown, Brantford, Stratford, Arthur and Erin, ON.

  • First visit includes a quick chat + movement check so we teach the way you learn.

Yes. We teach everyday adults, not performers. If you can walk, we can map it to music.

  • We adjust for nerves, shyness, and “I hate being watched.”

  • Two-left-feet friendly = clear steps, slow music, zero pressure.

  • We use “walk-talk-dance”: walk it, count it, then dance it | no jargon.

Most adults feel notably better in 2–4 lessons; polished and photo-ready takes 8–12+.

Think guided date night: learn, laugh, and reconnect with music you love.

  • We pick a style that fits your playlist and comfort: rumba (romantic), swing (fun), salsa (spicy).

  • Each lesson includes a “connection reset” (how to lead/follow kindly).

No problem. We’ll help you pick a song that fits your style, dress, and room.
Note: You can start lessons before you choose—skills transfer to any slow song.

  • 1–2 weeks left (2–3 lessons): entrance, sweet sway, 1 turn, a clear finish, + bonus move.

  • 3–4 weeks (5–8 lessons): short routine: intro → basic → turn → photo dip.

  • 5–8 weeks (9–12 lessons): personalized first dance choreography, smoother transitions.

  • 8+ weeks (15+ lessons): camera-ready polish + family (parent) dancing.

Yes—simple, warm, and tear-worthy without stress.
•  Pick a classic or your family favorite; we’ll match steps to lyrics.

Absolutely—clean, repeatable patterns that flatter real bodies and real clothes.

  • Camera moments: entrance, a gentle turn, a cuddle, and a clear finish.

Yes—fun, tasteful, and guest-friendly.

  • Timeline: 4–8 lessons depending on complexity and group size

Private lessons are 60 minutes and start from $125.

  • Expect 2–4 lessons for “relaxed and ready,” 6–8+ for polished.

  • Payment options shown at checkout; gift cards available.

Life happens. WhatApp scheduling; reschedule up to 48 hours before your slot.

Dress comfortably, optional – like date night. Clean, comfy shoes with a smooth sole are perfect.

  • Avoid sticky rubber soles; bring clean sneakers or flats if that’s easiest.

  • Water bottle and optional hand-towel – you’ll warm up fast.

Use short, repeatable drills

  • Celebrate a mini-win each session (e.g., “nailed the finish!”).

Totally normal. We teach teamwork, not perfection.

  • Choose a routine that flatters both skill levels—looks natural, not forced

Yes. We tailor steps and pacing to your body and brain.

  • Mobility-aware options: shorter steps, fewer turns, rests between reps.

  • Height difference fixes: frame adjustments and finishes that flatter both.

When you can run your routine twice in a row, smiling, with one simple reset if needed.

  • You can start on time, recover from a hiccup, and hit the finish pose.
