Term definition
By “worker”, it is understood to be “person” and or “dancer”.
By “workplace”, it is understood to be “dance area”.
How will you ensure all workers’ know-how and are able to keep themselves safe from exposure to COVID-19?
- Signage will be posted at the entry point and around the workplace.
- Directives and reminders will be verbally communicated throughout the event.
- A demonstration video will be released a reasonable amount of time prior to the event on social media platforms and our official studio website.
- Common sense.
- An organizer-volunteer will be posted at the entrance reminding the protocol to workers and doing a screening.
- All organizer-volunteers are up to date with the daily reviews of the Ministry of Health guidance.
- Screen for COVID-19 – dancers are asked to self-assess at home and will be re-assessed at the entrance of the event. (Check-list provided)
- A log will be required at the entrance with the personal contact information of each dancer and their COVID-19 assessment questionnaire.
- A follow-up questionnaire will be sent out via e-mail to manage contact tracing in the event of a positive case being reported.
How will you control the risk of transmission in your workplace?
- Contact tracing at the beginning.
- Follow-up contact tracing the next day via an online questionnaire.
- Increase sanitation practices (wiping down ledges, contact-less payment, and increase hand sanitizer stations).
- Information via signage and social media post on the updated guidelines.
- Mask wear is mandatory. (Mask breaks can be done outside the workplace).
- Encourage un-vaccinated individuals not to participate, or to apply extra safety precautions such as PPE.
- No sharing of personal effects such as water bottles.
- Encourage dancing within your pre-established social circle.
- Individuals that do not want to change partners will be identified with a colored sticker.
- Dance squares will be established to encourage social distancing.
- If simply attending but not participating, social distancing will be encouraged to minimize gatherings.

What will you do if there is a potential case, or suspected exposure to, COVID-19 at your workplace?
- Individuals who present symptoms or that have been in contact with a positive case of COVID-19 must not attend.
- Individuals who are present at the event must fill out the self-assessment questionnaire prior to joining the group.
- A follow-up questionnaire will be sent out the next day to track any symptoms.
- An e-mail follow-up will be sent out 5 days after the event to inform the workers in regards to potential exposure or none-exposure.
- If an individual presents one or more symptoms from the Governmental Covid-19 screening checklist, the individual must self-isolate immediately and get tested. They will be reported to the local health unit.

How will you make sure your plan is working?
- Organizers and volunteers will screen through all the assessment forms.
- Organizers will then input the data into their computers for safe-keeping.
- A secondary form is sent out after the event. The data is collected and analyzed.
- An email will be sent out to all the workers to keep them informed about the development of the contact tracing.
- Information will be gathered periodically with weekly check-ins.
- The workplace will stop operating if a case has been confirmed. Workers will be informed and will need to get tested. A negative test will need to be shown in order to attend the next workday after such an event.
*Starting September 22th 2021, we shall operate within the same safety plan, however, the vaccine passport procedures will be implemented. Double vaccinated individuals and medical exemptions will be allowed to work. Others will be asked not the partake. Subject to change pending on future Governmental developments.*

- Separation of dance duos on the dance floor.

- Verbal reminders of the safety procedures at the beginning, middle, and end of the evening.

What we will do if there is a potential case, or suspected exposure to, COVID-19 at our workplace
- In the event of a potential case, mandatory testing will be required from all participants after they have been informed of a confirmed case – or suspected exposure.
- Self-isolation will be encouraged until a negative test result is shown.
