WHY THESE DANCES (quick intro)
At Flying Dance, Salsa & Bachata are the foundation — and these two specialty dances are the seasoning that makes everything more fun.
Casino Rueda strengthens your connection, reactions, and community vibe
Cha-Cha-Chá sharpens your timing and adds flavor + musicality to your dancing
(And yes — we already love teaching Casino Rueda as an “All Levels” class because it brings everyone together.)
What is CASINO RUEDA (the community dance)
Casino Rueda (Rueda de Casino) is Cuban salsa danced in a circle. One person calls the moves, and everyone does them together — often with partner switches.
Why it has such a strong community feel
This is the magic: beginners, intermediate dancers, and advanced students can be in the same Rueda — and it works.
Because in Rueda, the goal isn’t “perfect styling.” It’s:
Hear the call → do the move → keep the wheel moving.
That shared focus creates a team feeling fast. You’re not dancing next to people… you’re dancing with the whole room.
You’ll love Rueda if you want to:
✓ Meet people quickly (it’s the best dance icebreaker)
✓ Improve fast without pressure
✓ Feel part of something the moment you walk in
✓ Build “real social dance skills” that translate into Salsa/Bachata socials
What is CHA-CHA-CHÁ (timing + flavor + musicality)
Cha-Cha-Chá is a playful rhythm and dance where your feet “talk” to the music with that signature cha-cha-chá triple step.
Why it changes your dancing (even outside cha-cha songs)
Cha-cha is one of the fastest ways to upgrade your timing — and timing is what makes dancing look and feel good.
It also adds:
Flavor (your dancing looks more alive)
Funness (you stop “thinking steps” and start playing with the beat)
Musicality (you hear accents you didn’t hear before)
Once you get cha-cha timing in your body, you start finding that same playful bounce in lots of music — Latin, pop, party tracks, and more.
How Does Casino Rueda Dancing Work
Why Do People Love Dancing Casino Rueda
HOW IT FITS INTO FLYING DANCE
These specialty series support everything we teach:
Salsa & Bachata: better timing, better connection, better confidence
Latin culture & socials: more comfort on the floor, more people to dance with
Other partner styles (including West Coast Swing): clearer lead/follow and rhythm control
And it all plugs into our “learn → practice → socialize” culture (classes + socials + community).
HOW THE SPECIALTY SERIES WORKS
These run in scheduled blocks throughout the year (not always active).
Series format: usually taught in a structured block (often aligned with your learning cycles)
Beginner-friendly entry: big groups are welcome
Progress path: you can return each season and level up
QUICK FAQ
Do I need a partner?
Not at all. Many students join solo — and we rotate partners so you build confidence quickly and meet people.
I’m brand new — can I really start with this?
Yes. We teach it step-by-step, with other beginners, in a judgment-free environment.
Can I join late?
Yes — you can join within the first 3 weeks of the dance block start date. After that, we close enrollment so the group can progress together.
What should I wear?
Comfortable clothes. Shoes that let you pivot (smooth soles).
